I’m running to represent our community in the Texas House because I believe we need strong conservative leadership that will take action and get results.

I’m a Victoria native, and after earning two engineering degrees from Texas A&M, my wife and I moved back to our community to raise our daughters with conservative values rooted in faith, family, and freedom. I’m passionate about serving our community and protecting our way of life.

As your state representative, I will take bold, decisive action against Joe Biden’s open border policies, putting a stop to the flood of illegal migrants from all over the world. I will work with Gov. Abbott to make sure we have an all-of-the-above strategy to shut down the drug cartels and human traffickers and stop the flood of deadly fentanyl that’s poisoning our kids.

I know what it takes to create jobs and stay on budget, because I’m a small businessman. As mayor of Victoria, I’m proud of my record of consistently lowering tax rates for hardworking families and businesses.

And I know what it takes to fight the woke, radical agenda and win, because I did it as mayor of Victoria, protecting kids from sexually explicit materials at our city library and empowering parents to make decisions in their childrens’ best interest. I will never stop fighting the radical left’s assault on our children and family values, including stopping sexually explicit school materials and drag show performances in front of our children. And I will protect our children by passing a bill limiting what kids can access on social media and preventing sexual predators and Big Tech from preying on them.

Conservative Leadership Rooted in Texas Values

Jeff Bauknight is a proud Victoria native, where his roots run deep and his commitment to family and community stands strong. A graduate of Victoria High School, Jeff earned a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Jeff and his wife, J. Lynn, decided to move back to Victoria to raise their daughters with the strong conservative values of faith, family and freedom.

As an entrepreneur and job creator, Jeff transformed a small residential A/C company into Crossroads Mechanical, Inc., a thriving commercial HVAC business.

Jeff’s commitment to public service grew as he was elected to the Victoria City Council in 2013 and then as mayor in 2021. Jeff led efforts to cut the city property tax rate by 18%, increased funding for law enforcement, and invested in infrastructure improvements without sacrificing fiscal responsibility. He also fought to ensure children were not allowed access to sexually explicit books in the public library, empowering parents to make decisions best for their children. As a member of the Crossroads Commission on Education, he worked with the Texas Legislature to expand the University of Houston-Victoria into a four-year university.
